This chicken breast is juicy, flavorful, and ready in just 8 minutes! A simple dry rub turns plain chicken into something delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium/large chicken breasts (200g–250g each)
  • Seasoning or marinade of choice

Optional Dry Rub:

  • ½ tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (205°C).
It doesn’t need to be fully preheated—just hot enough.
  2. Pound the chicken breasts to about ¼ inch thickness using a meat tenderizer (place in a plastic bag first for easy cleanup).
  3. Mix the dry rub ingredients in a small bowl.
  4. Season the chicken evenly on both sides with the rub, working it in with your hands.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray. Place the chicken breasts inside.
  6. Air fry at 400°F for 8 minutes, flipping halfway through (after 4 minutes).
Check that the internal temperature reaches at least 162°F—it will rise to 165°F as it rests.
  7. Let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve!
