Ingredients
- 2 medium/large chicken breasts (200g–250g each)
- Seasoning or marinade of choice
Optional Dry Rub:
- ½ tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (205°C).
It doesn’t need to be fully preheated—just hot enough. - Pound the chicken breasts to about ¼ inch thickness using a meat tenderizer (place in a plastic bag first for easy cleanup).
- Mix the dry rub ingredients in a small bowl.
- Season the chicken evenly on both sides with the rub, working it in with your hands.
- Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray. Place the chicken breasts inside.
- Air fry at 400°F for 8 minutes, flipping halfway through (after 4 minutes).
Check that the internal temperature reaches at least 162°F—it will rise to 165°F as it rests. - Let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve!
